TipJar

How it works

Who's this for?

TipJar works for any live performance where the audience wants to request songs or show their appreciation.

Solo artists & DJs

One personal QR code with your name and socials, usable wherever you play. No 'clocking in' needed — open it when you start, close it when you finish, and tips come straight to you.

Bands, duos & groups

Everyone clocks on and tips are split fairly by sets played. The MD handles requests, with quiet visual alerts that never beep or buzz while you're playing.

Regular venues & residencies

Piano bars, pubs, hotels and restaurants get a permanent audience QR code plus a backstage code for performers to join. Save regular slots and reuse them each week.

One-off events

Weddings, parties and corporate gigs get a date-specific code. Invite the other performers with a link, and choose whether requests are free or tipped.

Make it work your way

  • Require a tip with each request, or allow free requests
  • Pause song requests while still taking tips
  • Display your code on a spare iPad or phone with Stage Mode — no printer needed
  • Print or download your QR sign, with your socials on it
  • Merge tips across back-to-back sets, or keep them separate
  • Pass unplayed requests to the next MD, or cancel and refund them
